Quality professionals at Bechtel are responsible for quality management, as well as maintenance and verification of implementation of subcontract and construction activities. They perform and/or participate in audits or surveillances of Bechtel field engineering, field procurement, jobsite related Construction activities, and subcontractors as defined by project and contractual requirements.
The total number of Quality hires and start dates are subject to workload and business conditions. Locations will vary based on project needs, and include Frederick, MD, Houston, TX and Reston, VA, among others.
General Job Duties
Quality professionals are generally responsible for:
- Performing planned audits and surveillances to ensure compliance
- Monitoring and reporting on the implementation status of the Project Quality Management System and its effectiveness
- Identifying and recording quality problems and areas for improvement
- Reviewing subcontractor or supplier quality document submittals
- Interfacing with management and Client personnel as needed during resolution of quality issues or during Client audits
- Working closely with other groups to support timely reviews of documents or issues requiring QA action
Basic Qualifications
- Bachelors of Science degree in engineering or related field from an accredited college or University
- Possess the eligibility to work and remain in the U.S. without sponsorship
- Ability and willingness to relocate and/or travel to domestic and/or international project jobsites
Preferred Qualifications
- Master's degree in engineering or related field from an accredited college or University
- Completed relevant coursework with a strong GPA
- Prior co-op or internship experience
- Excellent written and oral communication skills
